Costa Ricans flock to beach towns, like Playa Flamingo, during the holidays, so if you are traveling during Christmas, Easter, or another major holiday — book your accommodations early!
A vehicle is not required to get around Playa Flamingo unless you want to drive to other beaches, national parks, and attractions during your stay. Golf carts are also viable means of transportation for short trips.
You can take the bus from San Jose or Liberia to Playa Flamingo. However, we recommend hiring a private shuttle to escort your group to Playa Flamingo from the airport for a seamless experience.
